The drumbeat of pessimism, doom and gloom seems mid-crescendo. Nobody knows where this economic downward spiral stops or who'll be caught under the rubble when it does.
But if you listen carefully, the message is clear: It's gonna get tough... There will be carnage.
And accompanying the drumbeat is a growing chorus, singing, "all is not lost, yet. there is still time to prepare..."
And all the noise is caught in the echo-chamber known as the 24/7/365 news-cycle.
It is pervasive and (perhaps) persuasive.
